the area below the curve given by the entered samples.
Each x-value shall be unique and in a rising order i.e. the lowest first and the highest one last.
Both methods requires 2 or more points. Simpson's rule requires an even number of intervals
i.e. and odd number of points. This calculator accounts for this in case of odd number of intervals
by using the trapezoidal rule on the first N-2 intervals and on the last N-2 intervals where N is the number of data points.
